LINNÉA SJÖSVÄRD

"Two years ago, Linnea Sjösvärd gave a highly commendable performance in the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor at Skånska Operan, and it comes as no surprise that she is also a strong Violetta.

...it is precisely strength that characterises this vital Violetta, with a fiery, dramatic flair and control over her high notes."

- Tidskriften OPERA (La Traviata)

"The title character of Sjösvärd stands, walks, lies and winds her way through her often long and demanding arias with admirable vocal technique. Her striking vibrato, exuberant coloratura and rapid shifts between resounding forte and whispering piano could make any Cupid melt into gold leaf."
- Kristianstadsbladet (La Traviata)

"...a performance like Lucia stands and falls with the soprano who portrays the title role, and Linnéa Sjösvärd makes a more than commendable effort. Her high notes sit nicely as does the madness duet with the obligatory flute, and although there is more power and drama in her voice than lyrical elegance, she has a firm grip on this soprano part."

- Tidskriften OPERA (Lucia di Lammermoor)

"The empathy is total, the abuse of power oh so topical, the passion devastating ... and Lucia absolutely brilliant. Linnéa Sjösvärd simply owns the lead role".
- Belinda Graham (Lucia di Lammermoor)

"Linnéa Sjösvärd is a coloratura soprano with pin-point articulation and real charisma"
- Seen and Heard International

"The brilliant soprano Linnéa Sjösvärd is making her role debut as Pamina, it's worth a detour (to Skånska Operan) for that reason alone"
- OPUS

"Norrlandsoperan symphony orchestra is playing superbly under leadership of Anja Bihlmaier. The singers have to fight to be heard over the thick sound barrier but they succeed, especially the shining Linnéa Sjösvärd"
- DN (Daily News, Hänsel und Gretel)
